Shandiz Rural District

Shandiz Rural District (Persian: دهستان شانديز) is in Shandiz District of Torqabeh and Shandiz County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Torqabeh District of Mashhad County) was 15,431 in 4,132 households.[3] There were 12,687 inhabitants in 3,591 households at the following census of 2011, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Torqabeh and Shandiz County.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 15,693 in 4,585 households. The largest of its 18 villages was Virani, with 4,698 people.[2]
