Khalilabad, Iran

Khalilabad (Persian: خلیل‌آباد, romanized: Khalīlābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, the Central District of Khalilabad County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, and also serves as capital of the county.

At the 2006 census, its population was 8,409 in 2,324 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 11,094 people in 3,271 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 12,751 people in 4,094 households.[2]

The beautiful spa in Khalilabad is locally called "Germou", meaning warm water. Many tourists from other parts of the province visit it in summer. There are two language schools in the city. There is a jungle park in Khalilabad which is 3 kilometers long, accommodating nearly all who want to have a nice weekend out.
