Dowlatabad (Persian: دولت آباد, also romanized as Dowlatābād, Dowlatâbâd, and Daulatābad)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, the Central District of Zaveh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, and also serves as capital of the county.

At the 2006 census, its population was 8,740 in 2,334 households, when it was in the former Jolgeh Zaveh District of Torbat-e Heydarieh County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 9,606 people in 2,721 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Zaveh County.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 9,329 people in 2,939 households.[2]
