Kariz (Persian: كاريز, also Romanized as Kārīz, Kahrīz, and Kārez)[3] is a city in the Central District of Taybad County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 census, its population was 9,565 in 1,968 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 10,391 people in 2,509 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 11,102 people in 2,819 households.[2]
