Salehabad, Razavi Khorasan
Salehabad (Persian: صالح آباد, also Romanized as Şāleḩābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, the Central District of Salehabad County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, and serves as capital of the county.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 8,280 in 1,877 households, when it was in the former Salehabad District of Torbat-e Jam County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 9,642 people in 2,240 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 8,625 people in 2,198 households.[2]
After the census, Salehabad District was separated from Torbat-e Jam County, and elevated to the status of Salehabad County, with the city of Salehabad as its capital. Jannatabad Rural District was separated from the new Central District to form Jannatabad District, containing the newly established Ostay Rural District.[4]
