Eshqabad, Razavi Khorasan

Eshqabad (Persian: عشق آباد; also Romanized as ‘Eshqābād and ‘Ishqābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, the Central District of Miyan Jolgeh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, and serves as the capital of the county.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,325 in 348 households, when it was in the former Miyan Jolgeh District of Nishapur County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,883 people in 504 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,993 people in 592 households.[2]

In February 2023, Miyan Jolgeh District was separated from Nishapur County to establish Miyan Jolgeh County. The existing Eshqabad and Ghazali Rural Districts, and the city of Eshqabad were made a part of the new Central District. Belharat District was established, with two rural districts, including the newly formed Salari Rural District.[4]
