Hasanabad-e Layen-e Now
Hasanabad-e Layen-e Now (Persian: حسن اباد لائين نو, also Romanized as Ḩasanābād-e Lāyen-e Now; also known as Ḩasanābād)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Hezarmasjed District of Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4][5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 2,664 in 646 households, when it was a village in Hezarmasjed Rural District of the Central District).[6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,940 people in 775 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,872 people in 877 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
After the census, Charam Rural District was established in the Central District and Layen Rural District was established in the newly formed Hezarmasjed District.[4][5] The village of Hasanabad-e Layen-e Now was elevated to the status of a city in November of 2021.[8]
