Masal

Masal (Persian: ماسال, also romanized as Māsāl; also known as Bāzār-e Māsāl, Masal-Bazar, Sar-i-Bāzar, and Sārī Bāzār Mūsār)[3] is a city in the Central District of Masal County, Gilan province, Iran, serving as both capital of the district and of the county. The population consists of Talysh people whose language is Talysh.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 10,922 in 2,986 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 14,689 people in 4,394 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 17,901 people in 5,759 households.[2]
