Kelachay (Persian: كلاچائ, also Romanized as Kelāchāy, Kelā Chāy, and Kalā Chāy; also known as Kala Cha)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Kelachay District of Rudsar County, Gilan province, Iran. It is on the Caspian Sea.

At the 2006 census, its population was 11,304 in 3,338 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 11,936 people in 3,831 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 12,379 people in 4,329 households.[2]
