Kelarestaq-e Sharqi Rural District (Persian: دهستان كلارستاق شرقي)[3] is in the Central District of Chalus County, Mazandaran province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 24,530 in 6,433 households.[4] There were 26,537 inhabitants in 7,926 households at the following census of 2011.[5] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 15,776 in 5,069 households. The largest of its 26 villages was Hoseynabad-e Sofla, with 1,950 people.[2]
