Palangabad Rural District
Palangabad Rural District (Persian: دهستان پلنگاباد) is in Palangabad District of Eshtehard County, Alborz province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Palangabad.

The National Census of 2006 counted 6,613 people in 1,903 households, when it was a part of Karaj County, Tehran province. [3] At the most recent census of 2016, it had a population of 1,218 in 374 households, by which time the district had separated from the county and become a part of recently established Alborz province as Eshtehard County, with two districts. The largest of its 11 villages was Palangabad, with 1,012 people.[2] After the census, Palangabad was promoted to the status of a city.[4]
