Eshkanan

Eshkanan (Persian: اشكنان), also Romanized as Ashkanan and Eshkanān; also known as Īshkanān and ‘Ishqanān; formerly Sodabgerd (سودابگرد),[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Eshkanan District of Lamerd County, Fars province, Iran, and also serves as the administrative center for Eshkanan Rural District.

At the 2006 census, its population was 7,513 in 1,516 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 8,211 people in 1,946 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 9,115 people in 2,406 households.[2]
