Central District (Faryab County)

The Central District of Faryab County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان فاریاب) is in Kerman province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Faryab.[3]

At the National Census in 2006, its population (as a part of the former Faryab District of Kahnuj County) was 16,685 in 3,495 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 18,949 people in 4,630 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Faryab County.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 16,952 inhabitants in 4,944 households.[2]
