Bid Shahr

Bid Shahr (Persian: بيدشهر, also Romanized as Bīd Shahr)[3] is a village in Bid Shahr Rural District of Bid Shahr District, Evaz County, Fars province, Iran. The residents refer to themselves as Khodmooni and their language is Achomi.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,872 in 709 households, when it was in the former Evaz District of Larestan County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 4,372 people in 1,040 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,447 people in 1,271 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

In July 2018, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Evaz County and divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Evaz as its capital.[6] The village of Kureh was elevated to the status of a city within the newly established Bid Shahr District.[7]
