Rafat Harb Hussein Abu Hilal

Rafat Harb Hussein Abu Hilal (Arabic: رأفت حرب حسين أبو هلال; 29 August 1968 − 9 October 2023) was the Palestinian head of the Popular Resistance Committees, a coalition of a number of armed Palestinian groups opposed to what they regard as the conciliatory approach of the Palestinian Authority and Fatah towards Israel.[1][2]

Death

On 9 October 2023, the Popular Resistance Committees announced that he was killed during an airstrike attack fired by Israeli Air Force on Rafah.[3][4][5] But the Israeli military announced that it had killed him during airstrikes in Rafah on 19 October 2023.[6][7]
