Muhammad Ismi Mat Taib

Muhammad Ismi bin Mat Taib[1] (born 22 May 1974) is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of Parliament of Parit since November 2022. He is a member of Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), a component party of Perikatan Nasional (PN).[2]

In this Malay name, there is no family name. The name Mat Taib is a patronymic, and the person should be referred to by the given name, Muhammad Ismi. The Arabic-derived word "bin" or "binti"/"binte", if used, means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
