Background and composition

The track was co-written and produced by Greg Kurstin and leans into "noughties R&B" for what PinkPantheress called her "favourite song".[1] It was first teased on the video-sharing platform TikTok on 12 June 2022 with a heavier drum and bass sound[2] and later again on 12 October 2022 with lighter vocals accompanied by a bossa nova style production.[3] The final song sees the singer laying vocals over a "drum and bass beat" and combines it with a "colourful noughties R&B aesthetic".[4] Her voice was described as "understated" and classy, while the production takes a more "club-focussed" approach.[5]

Music video

An accompanying music video, directed by Sophie Muller, depicts PinkPantheress and her friends going on a shopping spree, starring actresses Charithra Chandran, India Amarteifio, and Yara Shahidi.[6]
