Mehdiabad-e Olya (Persian: مهدي اباد اوليا, also Romanized as Mehdīābād-e ‘Olyā; also known as Mahdīābād-e ‘Olyā)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Naseriyeh Rural District of Naseriyeh District, Gonbaki County, Kerman province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 298 in 65 households, when it was in Chahdegal Rural District of the former Rigan District of Bam County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 370 people in 100 households, by which time the village was in Negin Kavir Rural District of Negin Kavir District of Fahraj County.[5] The latest census in 2016 indicated the population was below the reporting threshold, when the village had been transferred to Naseriyeh Rural District of the former Gonbaki District of Rigan County.[2]

In 2023, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Gonbaki County and divided into two districts and four rural districts, with the city of Gonbaki as its capital and only city.[6]
