Characteristics
After the ride exits the station, Draken climbs up its initial lift hill. It then curves slightly to the right and falls to the ground. It then goes on an Immelmann inversion, then goes up another hill while curving to the left, then drops to the ground. After a brief tunnel section, Draken goes in another Immelmann, then goes on a small airtime hill on a water area with a splash effect. It then turns left, goes up and returns to its station.[1] Draken's layout largely copies that of Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.[2]
Draken has 3 cars per train with 8 passengers per train and therefore can take up to 24 passengers per run.[2]
Draken is the first rollercoaster in South Korea to feature a 90-degree drop [3] as well as the first dive coaster in South Korea.[4] Also, it is the tallest [5] and fastest roller coaster [6] in South Korea, being 206.7 ft (63.0m) tall [5] and having a speed of 73 mph (117 km/h).[6] Draken is also the steepest roller coaster in South Korea, tied with Giant Digger in Lotte World Adventure Busan[7] and the fourth steepest in Asia.[8] It has two inversions, which is the fourth most inversions on a rollercoaster in South Korea.[9]
