Except for one small valley in the east of the locality (24.8581°S 151.0809°E / -24.8581; 151.0809 (Valley outside the State Forest)) using for grazing on native vegetation, the entire locality is within the Coominglah State Forest.[3]

Coominglah Range (24.7166°S 150.9333°E / -24.7166; 150.9333 (Coominglah Range)) is in the north of the locality.[4][3]

The Burnett Highway passes through the locality from the north-east (Moonford) to the north-west (Coominglah).[3]
