Chvalčov lies approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) north-east of Kroměříž, 18 km (11 mi) north of Zlín, and 249 km (155 mi) east of Prague.

History

The first written mention of Chvalčov is from 1369.[2]

Sights

Obřany Castle

The Hostýn Hill, a Catholic pilgrimage site, lies in the municipal territory of Chvalčov. There is also the ruin of Obřany Castle on the eponymous hill.
