Description and history

The Cartopia food pod was established in 2008[2] or 2009.[3] Thrillist says, "Cartopia is exactly as it sounds: a mecca of food trucks and foodies alike, all looking for the one that's going to do them in."[4] The pod has picnic tables, fire pits, and string lights.[5]

The site was slated for redevelopment,[6][7][8] after Vic Remmers submitted plans to construct an apartment building.[9] Instead, the landlord offered two-year lease renewals.[10]
