Ziaabad
Ziaabad (Persian/Azerbaijani: ضياءآباد, romanized: Ẕīā’ābād; also Romanized as Ẕeyā’ābād, and Zīya Abad; formerly, Shahr-e Shaqayeq (Persian: شَهرِ شَقايِق), also Romanized as Shahr-e Shaqāyeq)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Ziaabad District of Takestan County, Qazvin province, Iran. The language of the city was one of the Turkish language dialects, based on some sources the language is Azerbaijani Turkish.[4][5][6][7] The main agricultural production of Ziaabad is walnut.[8]

At the 2006 census, its population was 8,385 in 2,411 households.[9] The following census in 2011 counted 8,637 people in 2,671 households.[10] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 8,262 people in 2,737 households.[2]
