Talbot-Davies studied for a Law degree at Cardiff University and played for Wales at Age Grade U18-U20 and then on the Senior 7s team in the World Series and San Francisco World Cup, whilst there. He made his debut for the Dragons against Leicester in front of over 17,000 spectators in 2016[2] having being nurtured playing for the Welsh Exiles, their academy, Bedwas, Newport (helping them to win their first Welsh Cup in a decade) and Ebbw Vale RFC. The Covid pandemic and then serious injury, playing Bordeaux in the European Cup, halted progress as he was becoming established. He recovered to finish against Ulster and Munster but in June 2022, Talbot-Davies left the troubled finances of Welsh rugby and returned home to play for his local club, Coventry RFC for the 2022-23 season, mentoring their young backs to their highest ever professional league position. In July 2023 he moved to London to progress his legal training and joined London Scottish.
