Thrasops is a genus of snakes in the family Colubridae. The genus is endemic to Africa.[1]

Etymology
    
The generic name, Thrasops, is from Greek Θρασος (Thrasos) meaning "bold" and ῶφ (ops) meaning "eye".[2]
