It is located in the South Ostrobothnia region. The population of Teuva is 4,793 (30 September 2023)[2] and the municipality covers an area of 554.66 km2 (214.16 sq mi) of which 1.35 km2 (0.52 sq mi) is inland water (1 January 2018).[1] The population density is 8.64/km2 (22.4/sq mi).
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
History
    
In August 2010, more than fifty pocket-sized saunas were gathered on a lakeside within Teuva for the fifth annual Mobile Sauna Festival. Some six-thousand visitors attended the festival, doubling the population of Teuva for the weekend.[5][6]
