Syrian League 1st Division
Syrian League 1st Division (Arabic: الدوري السوري الدرجة الأولى) is the second division in football in Syria. It is operated by the Syrian Football Association (SFA). The league began to play in 1960s. After each season the two top clubs are promoted to the Premier League, and the bottom clubs are relegated to the Syrian League 2nd Division. In the 2022–23 season, Al-Hurriya SC and Sahel SC won the title and they were promoted to Premier League.

In 2022–23 season, the league consists of 24 clubs divided into 4 groups based on their geographical distribution. However, the final round consists of 8 teams divided into two groups.[1]
