Sobota, Łódź Voivodeship
Sobota [sɔˈbɔta] (lit. "Saturday") is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bielawy, within Łowicz County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Bielawy, 17 km (11 mi) west of Łowicz, and 40 km (25 mi) north of the regional capital Łódź.

Sobota was the site of the Battle of Sobota (1655), when a Polish force failed to head off the advancing Swedish invading army.
