Shazand

Shazand (Persian: شازند, also Romanized as Shāzand and Shah Zand; also known as Azadshahr (Persian: آزادشَهر), also Romanized as Āzādshahr)[3] is a city in the Central District of Shazand County, Markazi province, Iran, serving as both capital of the district and of the county.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 19,353 in 5,265 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 21,156 people in 6,231 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 21,181 people in 6,677 households.[2]
