Rinard is in Keith Township and located at 38°34′15″N 88°27′53″W (38.570926, -88.4646).[1]

There were 227 housing units. The racial makeup of the city was 99.4% White, and 0.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.4% of the population. It once had a post office but it closed.
