Relay is an upcoming film written, directed and produced by David Mackenzie. It is set to star Lily James, Riz Ahmed and Sam Worthington.

Synopsis

Tom (Ahmed) is a secretive “fixer” who brokers payoffs on behalf of corrupt corporations. Sarah (James) is a potential client who may need his protection.[1]

Production

The project was written and directed by David Mackenzie. The film is produced by Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk, Sigma’s Gillian Berrie and Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman, as well as McKenzie himself.[2]

Casting

In February 2023, Riz Ahmed and Lily James were cast in the film.[3] In April 2023 Sam Worthington was confirmed as a member of the cast and was pictured on set in New York.[4][5]

Filming

Principal photography began in New York in April 2023.[6] Filming locations were also set to include New Jersey.[7][8]
