Queen of Tears

Queen of Tears (Korean: 눈물의 여왕) is an upcoming South Korean television series written by Park Ji-eun, starring Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won. The series depicts the story of a married couple in a crisis. It is scheduled for release on tvN in March 2024, and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 21:20 (KST).[2][3][4]

  • Kim Soo-hyun as Baek Hyun-woo: the legal director of the Queens Group. He comes from Yongdu-ri village.[5]
  • Kim Ji-won as Hong Hae-in: a third generation chaebol, the daughter of the Queens Group family.[2]

The role of Hong Hae-in was first offered to IU.[14]

On December 5, 2022, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won announced as the main cast of the series.[15]

Filming began in the first half of 2023.[2]

The full script reading was conducted on March 30, near Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.[16]

Release

Originally, it was scheduled to be broadcast in December 2023 but was moved to the first half of 2024 due to the changes in tvN's Saturday–Sunday lineup.[17]

According to Metro Seoul article, Queen of Tears is scheduled to air in March 2024.[4]
