Pustá Polom (German: Wüstpohlom) is a municipality and village in Opava District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,400 inhabitants.

Geography

Pustá Polom is located about 11 kilometres (7 mi) southeast of Opava and 15 km (9 mi) west of Ostrava. It lies in the Nízký Jeseník range. The highest point is at 470 m (1,540 ft) above sea level.

History

The first written mention of Pustá Polom is from 1238.[2]
