Ross Winn

1849 - Vera Zasulich is born into a noble family in Russia. Later becomes an anarchist revolutionary before joining the Mensheviks.
1873 - Cantonal rebellion: The Canton of Algeciras is dissolved.
1897 - Italian anarchist Michele Angiolillo assassinates Spanish Prime minister Antonio Cánovas del Castillo and allows the authorities to arrest him.
1912 - Ross Winn (pictured), Texan anarchist writer and publisher, dies from tuberculosis.
1918 - Michel Zevaco, French journalist, novelist, publisher, film director, and anti-clerical anarchist activist, dies.
1936 - Spanish Civil War: The Iron Column leaves Valencia, headed for the Teruel front.
