  2. All of LIU's NIT titles were won by the school's Brooklyn campus, branded athletically as "Long Island" through 2012–13 and later as "LIU Brooklyn". After the 2018–19 season, Long Island University merged the Brooklyn athletic program and the NCAA Division II program of its Post campus, creating a new D-I program that now competes as the LIU Sharks. The merged program inherited the Division I membership, history, and records of the Brooklyn program.
