History
The first written mention of the village dates from 1469.[2]
Religion
- Two churches of St. Paraskeva of the UGCC: the old one (1860, wooden, restored in 1990; in 2012 the Museum "Parental Icon" was opened) and the new one (built in 1926–1939; completed in 1990).[2]
- Roman Catholic church (operated until 1944; built between 1936 and 1938 at the expense of Polish magnate Lianckoronski); in Soviet times the building was used as a warehouse for chemicals, then for grain and potatoes.[2]
