Career
Kashima Antlers
Tsunemoto began his youth career with Machida Ogawa FC. He then played for Yokohama F. Marinos youth until moving to Meiji University in 2017 until he graduated in 2020.
In June 2020, Tsunemoto began his professional career with Kashima Antlers from the 2021 season.[2] He debuted in J. League against Yokohama F. Marinos in Matchweek 31 on 11 November at same year as substitute player.[3]
On 27 June 2021, he scored his first goal as a professional in the 20th match against Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.[4]
Servette
In July 2023, the middle of the Japanese league season, it was announced that Tsunemoto would be moving to Swiss Super League side Servette, joining up with former Kashima manager René Weiler.[5]
He made his debut just days after his arrival in a 3–1 league victory over Grasshoppers, where he was described as showing great promise.[6] On 25 July, he made his first appearance in a continental competition, playing a full 90 minutes in a Champions League qualifying game against Belgian side Genk where the match finished 1–1.[7] Tsunemoto was lucky not to concede an own goal in the game, only saved by an offside ruling.[8]
