Karju
Karju (Persian: كرجو, also Romanized as Karjū; also known as Qaraju)[3] is a village in Abidar Rural District of the Central District of Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran. The village is populated by Kurds.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,172 in 476 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,072 people in 561 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,942 people in 553 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
