Heteroptychodus
Heteroptychodus is an extinct genus of cartilaginous fish that lived during the Early Cretaceous period. It contains two species, H. kokutensis and H. steinmanni that have been found in Thailand.[1] Additionally, one more unidentified Heteroptychodus has been discovered in Japan.[1] It was first thought to be a type of Ptychodontidae but has more recently been reclassified as a Hybodontid.[2]
