Harry Steel (wrestler)
Harry Steel (April 18, 1899 – October 8, 1971) was an American wrestler and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, where he won a gold medal in the freestyle heavyweight division.[1] Steel initially did not make the U.S. team at first, but the wrestler who was supposed to go ended up not being able to. Harry was called up to the team and went on to win the Olympic gold medal.[2]
