Gomphosphaeria
Gomphosphaeria (sometimes written Gonphosphaeria) is a genus of cyanobacteria belonging to the family Gomphosphaeriaceae.[1]

The genus was first described by Friedrich Traugott Kützing in 1836.[1]
The genus has cosmopolitan distribution.[2]
