Diber Cambindo

Diber Cambindo is a Colombian association footballer currently playing for Cruz Azul in the Liga MX, the top division of Mexican football. Before playing in Mexico, Cambindo played for several clubs throughout Colombia, and has also received a call up to the Colombia national team.

Career

Club

Having started his career in Chile, Cambindo had spells throughout the Categoría Primera A. He signed for Cruz Azul in 2023 from Deportes Quindío[1] for a reported USD$3.5 million.[2]

His arrival caused some controversy as it was revealed he was suffering from fitness issues, and was seen by some as not up to the standard of playing in the Liga MX or the Cruz Azul squad.[3]

International

Cambindo was called up to the Colombia national football team for their 0-0 exhibition match against the United States where Cambindo debuted as a second-half substitute.[4]
