Congroidei is a suborder of eels in the order Anguilliformes. It contains five families:[1]
- Derichthyidae (Longneck eels)
- Ophichthidae (Snake eels and worm eels)
- Muraenesocidae (Pike congers)
- Nettastomatidae (Duckbill eels)
- Congridae (Congers and garden eels)
