History
On November 21, 2022, MLS Next Pro announced that a new independent club will join the league in 2025. The club will be owned by Michael Murphy and Nolan Gallagher of Gravitas Ventures. The team's name, colors, and crest will be revealed at a later date along with the stadium location and seating capacity.[1][2][3][4] On March 31, 2023, Gallagher stepped down from Gravitas to focus on the team.[5]
In July 2023, the team's owners announced its intent to bid for 2026 National Women's Soccer League expansion, pending plans for a stadium.[6]
