Bagby, California
Bagby is an unincorporated community in Mariposa County, California.[1] It is located on the north bank of the Merced River 9.5 miles (15 km) northeast of Hornitos,[2] at an elevation of 830 feet (253 m).[1] Lake McClure covers the original town site.[2]

A post office operated at Bagby from 1897 to 1951.[2] The name honors Benjamin A. Bagby, owner of the local hotel, store, and saloon.[2]
