Babysitter (2022 film)
Babysitter is a 2022 Canadian comedy-drama film, directed by Monia Chokri.[1] Adapted from a theatrical play by Catherine Léger,[2] the film stars Patrick Hivon as Cédric, a man who loses his job and is forced to enter sensitivity training after he makes a sexist joke online that goes viral; meanwhile, his wife Nadine (Chokri) is struggling with post-partum depression following the birth of their child, and must hire a babysitter (Nadia Tereszkiewicz) to take care of the baby.[3]

The film was shot in Montreal, Quebec in 2020.[4] It was submitted for consideration by the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, but was not selected.[5]
The film premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, and was commercially released in April 2022.[1]
Reception
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 42% of 19 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 6.50/10.[6]
