- McDonough was originally elected from 1978 to 1982 as a Democrat from Baltimore City. He was again elected to the House of Delegates as a Republican representing Baltimore County in 2002.
- Simmons was originally elected as a Republican and served from 1978 to 1982, and did not run for re-election to the House of Delegates in 1982. He was again elected to the House of Delegates, this time as a Democrat, in 2002.
