2023 Invictus Games
The 2023 Invictus Games was an adaptive multi-sport event for wounded, injured and ill veteran and active defence personnel, that took place in Düsseldorf, Germany in September 2023, after having been postponed once. It was the sixth edition of the Invictus Games.

Development and preparation
    
The games were held in 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany.[3][4] Following the postponement of the 2020 Games in The Hague to 2022, the Düsseldorf Games were postponed to 2023.[5]

    Participating countries
    
Along with Colombia and Israel,[6] Nigeria also made their debut at the 2023 games,[7] becoming the first African country in history to join the Invictus Games. Iraq didn't participate in this iteration of the Invictus Games. The 21 participating countries are:[8]
