2023–24 Washington Capitals season

The 2023–24 Washington Capitals season is the 50th season (49th season of play) for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on June 11, 1974.[1]

The Capitals will attempt to return to the playoffs after missing the playoffs for the first time since 2013–14 season (and only the second time since 2006–07), ending their eight-season playoff streak,[2] and will attempt to win the teams 2nd franchise Stanley Cup and their first since 2018.
