On 29 July 2020, Trabzonspor defeated Alanyaspor 2–0 to win their ninth Turkish Cup and end a ten-year trophy drought.[1]

- Trabzonspor were banned for 1 season from all UEFA club competitions for either the 2020–21 or 2021–22 seasons by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body on 3 June 2020 due to breaches of the UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations.[4]
